Here's how the bill actually adds up, and how to pick the plan that doesn't nickel-and-dime you.
What a base plan should include
A proper base plan (roughly ¥3,300–5,000) comes with everything you physically wear: kimono, obi (belt), undergarment, tabi socks, sandals and a bag, plus professional dressing and usually a simple hairset. If a shop's headline price is well under that, check what's missing — it's usually the hair and the accessories.
